H2O

The all-day bar - restaurant 'H2O' in Kos is the perfect place to spend time during the day, which is why it has become the meeting point for all the islanders.

It is right beside the sea, in a great spot in the centre of the town. H2O embraces and blends in with the natural beauty of the sea and is somewhere customers can truly relax.

The café has a long outdoor serving area with white wooden decking, wooden tables and ornate chairs which stretches along the seafront. There are huge white umbrellas which provide ample shade and the seating area features flower beds planted with colourful plants.

On one side the area is flanked by 'H2O'’s windows, and on the other side the Aegean Sea stretches majestically in front of you. In the distance you can see cosmopolitan Bodrum and you can relax and watch the summer clouds playing in the sky. All this unique scene is reflected, day and night, in the windows, creating the illusion that you are literally on the water - the inspiration for the name of the all day bar restaurant, 'H2O'!

In May 2005, when it first opened its doors along with the 'Kos Aktis Art Hotel', 'H2O' immediately became a favourite meeting place for locals and tourists alike and it also became a benchmark for excellent cuisine in Kos. It is situated in a wonderful location in the centre of the town, and is open all year round, from early in the morning until late at night, so people can enjoy H20 at any time of day. In the morning it serves quality coffees and delicious Greek breakfast with fresh ingredients, in the afternoon you can enjoy ouzo and appetizers accompanied by the sound of the waves, and in the evening the restaurant serves evening meals with original dishes which combine local cuisine and international trends.

Year after year, 'H2O' has evolved into a hub that connects Dodecanese gastronomic tradition and local producers with visitors from Greece and abroad.

We always make local products a priority in our dishes: we use oil, krasotyri (a Cretan cheese matured with wine sediment), all kinds of dairy products, sweets, honey, a selection of herbs and wine, all from Kos. We are also introducing products from neighbouring islands into our cuisine and we hope to get to the point where all the raw ingredients we use come from the Dodecanese.

Here at 'H2O' we have two main goals. First we want to play our part in preserving traditional recipes and we update them respectfully, so that the younger generations can get to know them. Second, we want to highlight and support as many quality producers as possible, as every place has a moral duty to base itself around the people who live there.

Every year 'H2O' organizes and hosts various seasonal music, gastronomic, cultural and thematic events.
