Dodekanisos Seaways was founded in 1999, by George and Yiannis Spanos. Their aim was to improve the marine transportation among the Dodecanese islands. The company is based in Rhodes and its fleet includes 3 vessels: the high speed catamaran ‘’Dodekanisos Express’’, which serves 337 passengers, the high speed catamaran ‘’Dodekanisos Pride”, which serves 280 passengers and the passenger ship “Panagia Skiadeni”, which serves 700 passengers in summer and 590 passengers in winter.
Dodekanikos Seaways serves the following islands: Rhodes, Kastelorizo, Chalki, Tilos, Kalymnos, Leros, Lipsoi, Arkoi, Patmos, Fournoi, Ikaria, Samos, Nisyros, Kos, Kalymnos and Symi. The company has obtained distinguished awards and is honored by significant bodies. In 2015 it was awarded as ”Passenger Line of the Year” by Lloyds List and in 2016 it was honored by the Greek Red Cross, the Municipality of Rhodes and the Central Port Authority of Rhodes.
