KARKOS CHRISTOS

The vascular surgeon KARKOS CHRISTOS, FRCS, EBIR, FEBVS was specialized and received postgraduate training in vascular and endovascular surgery in Great Britain for 12 entire years and performs, today, all open or endovascular surgical operations at AGHIOS LOUKAS clinic, in Panorama, Thessaloniki.

His CV also includes training in endovascular surgery in Utrecht (Netherlands). After having received his specialization title, he worked as a lecturer of vascular surgery at the globally renowned vascular surgery clinic of the University of Leicester (UK). There, he collaborated with famous doctors of the British vascular surgery, such as the professors Nick London (specialization in venous conditions), Ross Naylor (a global authority in carotid diseases) and Robert Sayers (specialization in abdominal aortic aneurysms), as well as with the innovative invasive radiologist Amman Bolia, the “inventor” of subendothelial angioplasty. He return to Greece in February 2006.

He is professor of vascular surgery at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and covers the entire range of vascular surgery, with specialization in advanced endovascular surgery, strokes, aneurysms, diabetic foot and venous conditions.
