The recycling company ELDIA AE, at Diavata, Thessaloniki, is active in the recycling of all materials and the sorting of waste (commercial and industrial waste).

Through the sorting of these specific materials, packaging paper as well as various types of plastic and wooden packaging are recovered.

Municipal waste: Municipal waste is sorted, in collaboration with the Hellenic Recovery Recycling Corporation (HEERCO), at the Recycling Materials Sorting Center (KDAY) of the company, and the obtained materials are the following: packaging board, mixed paper, juice - milk paper packaging (TETRA PAK), aluminum packaging, tinplate packaging, as well as ΡΕΤ, PP and PE packaging. Materials such as glass packaging, hard plastic (crates), soft plastic (nylon) are also obtained and subsequently, are baled and forwarded for recycling. All the above materials are bundled, based on international specifications and standards, and forwarded to recycling plants in the domestic or international market.

Glass recycling: In collaboration with the Hellenic Recovery Recycling Corporation (HEERCO), ELDIA S.A. actively participates in the collection of glass packaging, through the installation of special equipment in companies that deal with a large volume of glass, such as hotels, restaurants, bars, cafés, entertainment centers, etc.
