MORARIS K. EMMANOUIL - DIATROFIKI PYRAMIDA

Emmanouil Moraris, who is the head of the center MORARIS K EMMANOUIL - DIATROFIKI PYRAMIDA, in Rhodes, is a dietician - nutritionist who has graduated from the Department of Nutrition & Dietetics of the Technological Educational Institute of Crete, with specialization in the sectors: nutrition & pregnancy, nutrition & sports.

He is active in the city of Rhodes since 2009, maintaining his private business with the distinctive title 'DIATROFIKI PYRAMIDA (FOOD PYRAMID)', where the personalized nutritional programs that are recommended, are scientifically accepted and are created based on the individual needs.

He has experience in special health cases that need a different approach (diabetes, dyslipidaemia, obesity, osteoporosis, thyroid disorders, etc.) and is an approved nutrition consultant in sports teams, beauty salons, slimming centers, nutrition centers, gyms and organizations of which the scope is nutrition, since he is a member of the “Dietitians & Nutritionists Association of Greece”.

For the proper monitoring of the personalized programs, modern devices are used, such as the “Body composition analyzer” and the “SenseWear”.

Having many teaching hours, regarding the issue of proper nutrition, to schoolchildren and students, and many publications, since he publishes articles on a regular basis in local and non local journals and online media, he also has his own personal webpage.

Having as goal to continuously provide information about the new advances in nutrition and the maintenance of good health, he has a large number of participations in national and international conferences, scientific events and educational workshops. He has participated in a study of the Hellenic Medical Association for Obesity, presenting a posted announcement at the 13th Panhellenic Congress of Nutrition & Dietetics and the 2nd Congress of Clinical Nutrition in Athens, which has been published in the Clinical Nutrition ESPEN journal.

His recent activities include the writing of a book, in cooperation with the writer Dikaia Maravelia, with traditional recipes of the island of Symi, with the title “Ekylise to tetzeri k’ ivre to kapaki”, where, apart from the safeguarding and preservation of the culinary cultural riches of the island, he recorded the nutritional and calorific values of the recipes, maintaining his status as a dietician - nutritionist.
