KAKOGIANNI VASILIKI

Dr Kakogianni Vasiliki MD, MSc is a vascular surgeon based in Keratsini.

In 1999, the doctor graduated from the Medical School of the University of Patras. During the years 2011-2012, she was trained and received a master’s degree in “endovascular techniques”, at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.

From February to July 2006, she attended postgraduate courses in vascular ultrasound. The doctor has 30 attending credits from the Panhellenic Medical Association according to the criteria of EACCUE-UEUS.

In February 2002 she was certified with ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) - Greek ATLS program by the University of Patras, in Patras. In May 2003 she attended the International Workshop on Intestinal Permeability in Hcolly and Disease.

Professional experience

The doctor did a three-month mandatory training at the 2nd Preparatory Pathology Clinic, the 3rd Surgical Clinic and the 2nd Cardiology Clinic of the General Hospital of Athens “EVAGGELISMOS”.

She completed her mandatory rural service at the Rural Clinic of Sifnos.

The doctor performed her specialization training at the University Surgical Clinic of the Regional University General Hospital of Patras. She was specialized in the ICU of the Regional University General Hospital of Patras from the 7th of January to the 5th of March 2004.

As regards vascular surgery, she received her specialization training at the Vascular Surgery Clinic of the Regional University General Hospital of Heraklion from the 18th of March 2004 to the 31st of August 2006 and from the 1st of September 2007 to the 22nd of March 2008. Regarding thoracic surgery, she received her specialization training at the Thoracic Surgery Clinic of the General Hospital of Athens “EVAGGELISMOS” (directed by Mr. I. Belenis) from the 1st of September 2006 to the 31st of August 2007.

She served as auxiliary registrar at the Vascular Surgery Department of the General Hospital “THRIASIO” from the 1st of October 2008 to the 30th of September 2009. She also served as auxiliary registrar at the Vascular Surgery Department of the General Hospital “THRIASIO” from the 19th of November 2009 to the 18th of November 2010.

The doctor is a former associate, consultant physician of the Bank of Greece. She is an associate physician at Alpha Bank polyclinics since the 1st of January 2015.

The doctor operated a private practice since the 17th of January 2012, in Patras, which was transferred to Keratsini.

In a renovated space, a series of examinations are offered for the best diagnosis and imaging of the condition for any venous disease (telangiectasias, varicose veins, ulcers, etc.), as well as treatments in the most modern and effective way.

Our services concern the following venous and arterial diseases:telangiectasias, varicose veins (foam treatment), angioplasty (balloon catheter) and venous insufficiency.

The doctor also undertakes the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysm, carotid stenosis, peripheral arterial disease of the lower limbs and endovascular treatment.

The doctor is contracted with all social security funds and she also performs home visits.

The doctor operates at the following hospitals: Peristeri Medical Center, Central Clinic of Athens and White Cross Athens.
