KALOGEROPOULOU DIONYSIA

The ophthalmologist (Oculist) KALOGEROPOULOU DIONYSIA, who operates her private practice in Nea Erythrea, was born at Filiatra, Messinia, by Greek parents, and grew up in Athens.

She was admitted to the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens with a very high score, ranked between the top 10 students, and received the specialization of ophthalmology in Athens, after having attended the respective courses at the Hospitals of “Polykliniki” of Athens, “Hygeias Melathron” and Evangelismos of Athens.

During her specialization training, she performed successfully many surgeries, such as cataract, glaucoma, ascorinostomy, blepharoplasty, entropion, ectropion surgeries and many other minor eye operations.

She participated in a multitude of post-graduation courses in Greece and abroad, where she was trained in refractive surgery and in the newest techniques of cataract and glaucoma surgery.

She attended a Mini fellowship in Lasik και Epilasik at the Vardinoyiannion Eye Institute of Crete, regarding the advances in the sector of refractive surgery to correct myopia, hyperopia, astigmatism and presbyopia.

She operates an absolutely modern private ophthalmology practice in Nea Erythrea, which is fully equipped with all the modern, state-of-the-art machines and instruments, for the diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders.

The doctor performs cataract and glaucoma surgeries, refractive surgery for the correction of ametropia, Laser surgery for the correction of myopia, astigmatism, hyperopia and Cross Linking surgery for keratoconus.

She, also, undertakes the treatment of eyelid conditions and, in general, surgery in the anterior segment of the eye, congenital strabismus and acquired strabismus due to various causes.

Study of complications of refractive surgeries and their prevention, local and systemic effects in the medication for glaucoma, acquired strabismus (cause, investigation, use of prisms or surgical repair), low vision.
