LOGO ZOIS

The speech therapy center LOGO ZOIS, in the center of Patra, is staffed by speech therapists who provide speech therapy services for children and adolescents.

The speech therapy and special education center works with children and adolescents who have speech, language or voice disorders, learning difficulties - dyslexia, communication disorders or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). It is, also, aimed at children and adolescents who are cognitively impaired or who have syndromes such as Down syndrome or autism spectrum disorders, developmental disorders or neurological disorders (cerebral palsy).

The treatments are adapted to the age, needs, capabilities and preferences of the child. They are carried out in a friendly, pleasant way and, when necessary, two therapists participate in the session. If parents work with us and we are able to provide early and timely intervention, this helps us to achieve the desired goals.

Some of our tools are: 'Athena Test' (diagnosis of learning difficulties), 'Alpha Test' (test of school readiness) and 'PECS' (Picture Exchange Communication System). Also, our tools include the following: 'Teacch' (basic principles of structured education - autism), 'Oral placement therapy' (intervention in the oral cavity), 'Social stories' and 'NMES' (neuromuscular electrical stimulation).
