THERAPEFTIKO KENTRO - FROUNTA NIKOLETA

Welcome to the THERAPEFTIKO KENTRO - FROUNTA NIKOLETA (speech therapist - logopedist), speech therapy - occupational therapy centre in Kato Achaia.

The centre is a therapeutic area that has been operating in K. Achaia, since 2006. We call on our scientific training, professional experience and our sensitivity to the difficulties faced by children and adolescents, to provide the services we offer.

The centre is scientifically designed to offer the best environment for therapy and, at the same time, to be a friendly space which is tailored to the needs of children and their parents.

The therapist in charge of the centre is Nikoleta Frounta, a therapist and a graduate in Speech Therapy from the Technological Education Institute Patras. She has a postgraduate degree in special education from the University of Liverpool, specializing in autism and learning difficulties and dyslexia. She, also, has 9 years of teaching experience at the Technological Education Institute, Patras School of Speech Therapy and as a clinical associate - speech therapist at the University Hospital of Rio, Patras, and is a member of the Panhellenic Association of Logopedists and Speech Therapists of Greece.

The goal of our centre is:

To provide solutions to any child's motor, cognitive, learning, communication or sensory problems and to problems of any other nature, to properly assess the child in order to uncover all of his or her abilities and to advise and educate parents and to work with all specialist help for the benefit of the child.

We work with children and adolescents with speech disorders, speech delays, stutters and voice disorders.

We, also, provide treatment for children and adolescents with cleft lips, cleft palates, various developmental disorders (autism, syndromes etc.), sensory disorders (blindness, deafness, hearing loss).

Finally, we work with children and adolescents with mental retardation, Down syndrome etc., neurological disorders (aphasia, dysarthria, dysphagia etc.) and learning difficulties and dyslexia.

At our centre we run school readiness tests and we can diagnose disorders and treat learning difficulties.

At the same time, we provide treatment for problems with speech, voice and swallowing and, also, provide parent counselling and psychotherapy.

The centre is staffed by specialised personnel such as:

• A theatrologist
• A music therapist

Our focus is on prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation for children and adolescents.

We work with all insurance funds.
