The modern microbiological laboratories VIOELEGCHOS - KORTESAS CHR THEOCHARIS which are based in Patra, are directed by doctor Theocharis Kortesas, microbiologist - biopathologist, graduate of the Medical School of Patras, who started his specialty training at “KARAMANDANEIO” Children’s General Hospital of Patras and completed it at “PANAGHIA I VOITHEIA” University General Hospital of Patras.

Our priority is to redefine the relationship between the patient and the laboratory doctor. We place emphasis on prevention, according to the new trends of medical science.

Our goal is to provide high quality tests and examinations. For this reason, our laboratory is equipped with the most modern machines and instruments which are provided by modern medical technology, providing the possibility of a wide range of examinations and tests.

Our goal is to fully meet the modern medical requirements, with absolute reliability and, above all, respect to medical confidentiality, always focusing on the provision of services and care to patients. The use of the patients’ history, their living habits, gender and age provide the possibility of choosing the examinations and tests (check-up) that shall prevent the possible manifestation of a disease in time.

The modern microbiological laboratories “BIOCONTROL” have many departments, such as blood testing, coagulation & hemostasis control, biochemical, immunological, hormone and culture department. They have departments of fertility control and prenatal screening, as well as for testing allergies, food intolerance and drug levels. Moreover, they have departments for the determination of neoplasm indicators, molecular control and check-up.

We provide the possibility of blood collection at home, after consultation, for children, elderly people and people that cannot come to the laboratories for any reason whatsoever.

Our space is friendly and modern. Our laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art machines and reliable reagents, of which the use, in combination with the application of the appropriate methods and techniques, guarantee the validity and reliability of the results.

Apart from blood collection rooms for adults, our premises have a specially configured room for blood collection from children for our little friends.

The modern microbiological laboratories “BIOCONTROL” (VIOELEGCHOS) are contracted with EOPYY (the Hellenic National Health Services Organization), as well as other social security funds.

Furthermore, we have developed and apply a Quality Management System, according to ISO 9001:2015, having as scope the conduction of laboratory tests on biological samples.
