FILOKOSTA P. ZOI

The dentist FILOKOSTA P ZOI was born and raised in Volos. She is a graduate of the School of Dentistry at the University of Athens and pursued postgraduate studies at the University of Michigan in the United States, specializing in Periodontology and Oral Implantology.

She is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology and the European Society of Cosmetic Dentistry. Additionally, she holds a Master of Research on Implants and Dental Lasers from Universitat Internacional de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain. Her studies continued at Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC) in Barcelona, where she obtained the title of Master of Dental Research in Dental Implants and Lasers. Her continuous pursuit of knowledge and new techniques and technologies in the field led her to pursue another Master's degree in Implant Dentistry from the International Medical University in Rome, Italy, which is expected to be completed in May 2024.

She has been running a dental practice in Volos since 1998, where she has performed numerous surgical and non-surgical procedures, utilizing the most modern techniques and materials in her cases. Over the past 3 years, she has also practiced Periodontology and Implantology in the United Kingdom. She collaborates with leading implant companies, providing ideal solutions to her patients for their oral restoration, always taking cost into consideration. She stays updated by participating in international conferences in her specialty.

Our Dental Practice.

In our dental practice, which underwent a complete renovation in January 2023, the most modern sterilization methods (in a separate area from the workspace) and patient protection measures are implemented. Additionally, the practice owns a dental laser for various non-invasive applications, intraoral digital radiography, and a state-of-the-art digital panoramic X-ray machine.

Moreover, there is a teeth whitening lamp for rapid teeth whitening in the practice, as well as a piezosurgery device for a range of minimally invasive surgical interventions, such as surgical extractions, apicoectomies, sinus lifts, etc.

The practice has a clear focus on state-of-the-art Digital Dentistry. The intraoral scanner allows for three-dimensional imaging of the mouth and detailed digital smile design for optimal aesthetic results. As for temporary restorations, there is a 3D printer for their immediate fabrication (Teeth in One Day).

The hospital-grade centrifugation device for PRP-PRF applications enables the collection of richer material elements that accelerate healing and tissue regeneration in surgically treated areas. The advantages of this technique are even more extensive, and we would be delighted to explain them to you in person.
