The eye surgeon (oculist) STERGIOU PANAGIOTIS Dr, graduated from the Medical School of Thessaloniki in 1980 and, after his specialization training, he was trained at the university clinic of Tubingen (prof. Kreissig) and at New York Hospital, Cornell University (prof. Lincoff), where he was a fellow for two years.
For 18 years he worked as a registrar - deputy director of the Ophthalmology Clinic of the Hippokration Hospital of Thessaloniki. Today, he works at his modern ophthalmology medical office (Laser - OCT - digital angiography - ultrasound - visual fields). At his medical office he performs a wide range of operations, such as the treatment of macular conditions (age-related macular degeneration, diabetic maculopathy, thromboses, etc.) with intraorbital injections.
He is a member of many international ophthalmological societies and of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He performs surgery for cataract, glaucoma, retinal detachment and performs vitrectomy at EUROMEDICA General Clinic of Thessaloniki.
