TSOLAKIS APOSTOLOS is an orthodontist, who has a medical surgery in Larissa.

Dr. Apostolos Tsolakis graduated from the School of Dentistry of the University of Thessaloniki. He was subsequently trained in orthodontics in the USA. In 1993 he was named doctor of the School of Dentistry of the University of Athens.

He serves as assistant professor of orthodontics at the University of Athens and as visiting professor at the Case Western Reserve University of the USA.

Orthodontics is a specialty of dentistry which deals with the development of the jaws and the dental occlusal abnormalities, both in children and in adults. In simple terms, orthodontics treats crooked teeth.

The orthodontic abnormalities, depending on their gravity, may cause serious functional and aesthetic problems. The functions of the stomatognathic system that are affected by orthodontic abnormalities are speech, chewing and breath.

The first visit to the orthodontist must take place at the age of six, although the therapy usually begins from the age of eight onwards.
