Petas Stylianos Dr Med Dent is a specialist orthodontist in Rhodes.

He was born and grew up at Archaggelos, Rhodes, where he completed the six grades of high school. Subsequently, in 1979, he graduated from the College of Mainz, Germany and afterwards, in 1985, from the Dental School of Erlangen, Germany. In 1991 he acquired the title of doctor of the University of Tübingen, Germany.

His research and doctoral thesis in the “behavior of factors VII & XIII in self-transfused patients” became an innovative therapy, incomparably superior to similar methods, due to reduced blood loss (by 60%) during surgery.

After his many years of experience in one of the largest private orthodontic clinics of Düsseldorf, with a capacity of 1,200 patients on a permanent basis, he completed his know-how and training in his science at the University Clinic of Munich in 1991.

There, he was offered at the same time, an excellent opportunity to deepen his knowledge in musculo-functional treatment, the approach of psychology and excellent communication with the patients, a field which is necessary and consists an integrated part of every sound cooperation.

Since 1992, he works and is active in Rhodes. He is married and has three children. His love for nature and painting occupy him creatively on his leisure time.

At his medical office, all modern orthodontic techniques are used, regarding all ages and with all types of mechanisms, such as external and internal brackets, metal and transparent, mobile braces.

Moreover, transparent splints are provided (occlusal, temporomandibular joint - TMJ syndrome splints), functional machines and invisible orthodontics (Invisalign) are provided.

The Invisalign treatment is practically an invisible way to straighten your teeth. With the use of advanced 3D imaging technology on a computer, Invisalign presents your full treatment plan, based on the prescription that is provided by the doctor, from the initial position of your teeth to their final desired position.

Next, a series of transparent splints is manufactured, especially for your teeth, so that they move little by little.

You will wear every splint for two weeks approximately and, then, it will be replaced by the next one, so that your teeth are progressively moved to the expected final position. The treatment time depends on your needs and will be determined by the doctor.

Modern technical methods, in combination with the continuous scientific updating and the long-standing experience of the doctor, render him fairly a pioneer, as he has almost achieved his utmost goal, that is not to refer, until today, any of his cases to surgery (orthognathic cases).

No Extractions
