PYRINIKI IATRIKI AGRINIOU is a primary health care Medical Diagnostic Centre, focusing on the specialty of nuclear medicine, housed in a modern and functional high standard space in the center of Agrinio.

The innovative equipment, in respect of the standards of the prefecture of Aitoloakarnania, in combination with the experience and high level of training of the doctors in charge of the department, as well as of the associate physicians, ensure a high level of consistency and reliability in the examinations and tests that are performed.

Gamma camera imaging department: It regards the thallium-201 myocardial scintigraphy, as well as the scintigraphy of bones, of the thyroid gland, parathyroid glands, kidneys, lungs.

Radioimmunoassay department: With a hormone, immunological and biochemistry department, a wide range of examinations can be performed, that regard: the thyroid function, hormones, fertility control and prenatal testing.

Tests can be also performed for pregnancy, Papp-A, A-Test, in vitro fertilization, menopause and menstrual disorders. Finally, at the hormone, immunological and biochemistry department, examinations for tumor markers, vitamins, adrenal function, as well as virological screenings can be also performed.

Radioisotope Therapy Department: The center is also designed to administer radioisotopes for the treatment of conditions, such as disorders in the function of the thyroid gland.

Bone Density Measurement Department: The examination regards lumbar and hip bone density measurement and is performed in accordance with the protocols recommended by the Hellenic and American Osteoporosis Foundation.

Full Body Fat Measurement Department: The analysis of the body mass is performed with the most reliable and accurate DXA method, which is a reference method.

PYRINIKI IATRIKI AGRINIOU is contracted with the National Health Services Organization-EOPYY and with the Hellenic Ministry of Defence - Army, Air Force, Navy, Coast Guard and the Social Security Fund of the National Bank of Greece - TYPET.
