ALEXOPOULOS GRIGORIOS

Alexopoulos Grigorios is an ENT - Otolaryngologist in Heraklion, with a long experience of more than 25 years. He has attended many conferences both domestically and abroad, as a speaker and actively with papers and presentations.

He has been trained in functional endoscopic sinus surgery (F.E.S.S.) at UCL London UK, Leiden Netherlands, Panduri ORL Bucharest Romania, Athens Attiko Hospital.

He has been trained in Neurotology at Glasgow University Hospital, UCL London UM, Munich Center for Vertigo and Balance Disorders.

He is former director of the ENT outpatient department of the Hellenic Police Medical Services and associate of clinics: ATHINAIKI EUROCLINIC, MITERA, HYGEIA and at the same time he owns a medical practice in Nea Erithrea.

He performs, at the office, full clinical examination, video endoscopy of larynx - nasopharynx - nose, ear examination with surgical microscope, tone audiometry and tympanometry - tympanogram.

Hearing evaluation of children is performed with otoacoustic emissions (OAE) and a portable sound generator. A hearing test is performed on children with an audio-visual machine and there is a portable audio generator vertigo department with video-nystagmography and complete neurotologic examination - treatment of benign vertigo and other vertigo.

Snoring and sleep disorders - diagnosis is performed with a flexible nasopharyngolaryngoscope (Müller test, sleep endoscopy), as well as control of upper respiratory allergies and skin prick tests.

Testing of sinuses and frontal sinuses is performed with a special type B ultrasound, a test very useful in the monitoring of sinusitis but also safe in cases of pregnancy (where X-ray is prohibited) and in children to avoid many recurrent X-rays.

There is also a surgical unit with ultrasound and radio frequency surgical devices, an application with excellent results in many diseases such as: nasal breathing difficulty due to allergic rhinitis, vasomotor rhinitis (nasal turbinate hypertrophy), snoring and nose bleeds, nasal septum adhesions, tongue and mouth lesions and tumors.
