The museum covers Crete from ancient times right up until the Second World War. It was a decent museum providing a potted history of the island through time.

Great museum set over 3 floors. I enjoyed discovering the history of Heraklion and the island. The model of the town was excellent. I also liked the fountain, icons and the wall paintings.
