MARGARITIS V. ELEFTHERIOS PhD, MSc, MD - ENT IASIS

Eleftherios Margaritis is a Surgeon ENT- Otolaryngologist for adults - children, is a doctor of the University of Athens, performed his specialty training at the Academic Medical Center (AMC) of Amsterdam and operates his private medical office MARGARITIS V ELEFTHERIOS PhD, MSc, MD - ENT IASIS in Chaidari.

The doctor E. Margaritis was admitted to the Medical School of the University of Athens in 1997, from which he graduated in 2003. In 2008, he began his training at the ENT Clinic of Panagiotis and Aglaia Kyriakou Children’s Hospital and continued it at the 1st ENT Clinic of the University of Athens at Hippokrateion Hospital. In 2009 he received his postgraduate degree and in 2010 he completed his doctoral thesis with Honors at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. In 2011 he was trained in rhinology - rhinosurgery at the Academic Medical Center (AMC) of Amsterdam, in the Netherlands.

He has made publications in Greek and foreign-language journals, many announcements in foreign and Greek congresses and has, also, participated in the writing of books.

At the medical office, endoscopic examination of the nose and larynx is performed on adults and children, as well as smell testing - allergy testing with the respective tests. Moreover, complete audiological testing is performed for all ages (otoacoustic emissions for infants, pediatric audiometry, audiogram with speech audiometry, tympanogram). The investigation of dizziness includes a complete neurotologic examination and vestibular rehabilitation exercises, while chronic problems are also treated, such as hearing impairment and tinnitus.

The surgical field of the doctor includes the entire range of rhinologic disorders, such as the correction of a deviated septum and cauterization of the turbinates with modern methods (RF, turbinoplasty). The functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) provides solutions to persistent chronic problems, such as chronic rhinosinusitis, sinus polyps. Moreover, laryngeal surgery is performed (for polyps and other disorders) with microlaryngoscopy.

The doctor undertakes pediatric ENT surgeries in specialized children’s hospitals. He prescribes medicines and examinations with EOPYY (the Hellenic National Health Services Organization).

He is a pediatric ENT registrar at the Pediatric Center of the Athens Medical Center and a scientific fellow of the University of Athens. Finally, he is married, has 3 children, and lives in Chaidari.
