MICHAILIDOU A. DESPOINA

MICHAILIDOU A DESPOINA is an experienced Obstetrician - Gynecologist, with 8 years of accumulated experience in gynecological, surgical, medical procedures, and operates her private medical office in Drama.

She is a specialist in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of gynecological and obstetric disorders, responsible for the prenatal, perinatal and postnatal treatment of obstetric patients in hospital and nursing practices.

She is also specialized in the effective treatment of life-threatening obstetric emergencies, as well as the treatment of gynecological conditions, including cancer, infertility and endocrinological disorders. At the same time, she is a specialist in gynecological surgery, in the supervision and preparation of both vaginal and cesarean section deliveries, as well as consulting.

She has worked as head of the Department of Obstetrics-Gynecology of the private surgical clinic “Hygeia”, in Drama, and as a freelance surgeon obstetrician-gynecologist, operating a medical office in Drama, with a staff including a secretary and a midwife since March 2013.

The gynecologist Despoina Michailidou was specialized in obstetrics-gynecology at the General Hospital of Kavala, from the 6th of July 2011 to the 8th of January 2013, at the General Hospital of Drama from the 14th of March 2008 to the 5th of May 2011, and in General Surgery at the General Hospital of Drama, from the 9th of January 2007 to the 8th of October 2007.

She was trained in endocrinology at the 1st Clinic of Obstetrics & Gynecology, of the School of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki from the 21st of May 2012 to the 21st of July 2012, at the Laboratory of Anatomy-Pathology of the General Hospital of Kavala, from the 22nd of August 2012 to the 21st of October 2012, and at the laboratory of cytology of the General Hospital of Kavala, from the 8th of March 2012 to the 8th of May 2012.

At the same time, she was trained in homeopathy-holistic alternative therapy (Master of Science 2012-2014), and at the Faculty of Product and Systems Design Engineering, of the University of Aegean, in Syros, with postgraduate thesis “Infertility and alternative methods of treatment”.

Finally, she has received a certification in Medical Psychology, from the Center of Continuing Education and Training, of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, 2015-2016.
