Diabetologist Dr Iliopoulou Amalia MD, MRCP, with private office in Athens, graduated from the Medical School of the University of Athens and was awarded with a state scholarship for exceptional performance in the Panhellenic University Entrance exams.

Following her return to Greece, she worked for 2 years as a Consultant Endocrinologist at the University Hospital Aretaieion and now has a private clinic in Kolonaki, Athens.

Dr Amalia Iliopouloiu specializes in the diagnosis and management of type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus. She has crucial experience in the management of gestational diabetes, after working for 4 years in the dedicated specialised Maternity/Endocrinology Unit of St James’ University Hospital of Leeds, UK.

Furthermore, she manages all the thyroid and parathyroid gland problems, pituitary and adrenal gland problems, male and female infertility, period problems and osteoporosis.
