ECO SCHOOL BLE MELISSA

Eco School Ble Melissa is an eco nursery (day care center), play school and kindergarten (nipiagogeio) in Peraia, Thessaloniki.

It is situated at the 19th kilometer on the main road heading from Thessaloniki to Perea, just before Perea and with easy access from all areas.

Ble Melissa Eco School is a different school. An eco-logical school which is part of nature and society, it is child-centered, and child-educator interactions, exploration and learning stem from the child's life. The school operates all year-round, based on a holistic programme which is focused on the child.

The premises and the modern, 4-acre facilities help us to achieve and promote our purpose, namely allowing the children to develop holistically and making use of the environment. The classrooms offer space, comfort and safety for the children and are appropriately laid out, depending on which workshops they host.

Our programme consists of three different learning methods which complement and enrich each other and contribute to the all-round development of the children: 1) free play, 2) workshops and 3) interdisciplinary weekly projects.

In summary:

• Morning and afternoon sessions, opening hours 06:00 - 22:00, in modern 4,000 sq.m facilities, with rooms which are three times the required square footage in relation to the number of children they host.
• Breakfast, elevenses and lunch, in collaboration with a nutritionist. A school bus is also provided.
• Our original E.C.O. pedagogical model, with an emphasis on experiential and outdoor education, with over 120 workshops every year.
• Twice the required child-teacher ratios. We also work with a paediatrician, psychologist, nutritionist and speech therapist.
• Events and excursions with parents and children and liability insurance for all children.
