The most modern chronic hemodialysis unit, the private clinic TRIGKAS NEPHROS - MONADA CHRONIAS AIMOKATHARSIS is operating in Patra, being a unit founded on the basis of quality and safety of hemodialysis patients.

The unit is housed in newly built premises of an area of 1,200 square meters and is the largest chronic hemodialysis unit in Western Greece. It is equipped with the most up-to-date, modern and luxurious medical and building equipment, without the slightest compromise in anything that was used for the creation both of the premises and the unit.

The scientific head of the unit is Mr. Panagiotis Trigkas, nephrologist, who graduated from the University of Patras, and with Ms. Styliani Zioga, nephrologist, who graduated from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, consist the core team of doctors, which has been and is still gradually staffed with other doctors with many different specialties, such as the well-known cardiologist Ms. Georgia Kopsida.

The unit has a medical staff with many years of experience in hemodialysis, which is well known to the social group of kidney patients.

The unit has an autonomous COVID testing room with its own exclusive entrance, so that all suspected cases can be triaged. It complies with all the required protocols for COVID with the timely and complete isolation of all suspected cases.

The unit has two floors dedicated to dialysis with 33 state-of-the-art NIPRO SURDIAL X machines, all exclusively ON-LINE which have been constructed in 2021, exclusively for TRIGKAS NEPHROS Single Member S.A. and have been shipped from Kyoto, Japan.

At TRIGKAS NEPHROS there is no compromise in terms of quality of hemodialysis. The unit has the most modern unit for the treatment of the water of the city water supply network with ON-LINE reverse osmosis supplied by the firm ΤΕΜΑΚ. Water and in particular ultrapure water which is necessary for the hemodialysis session is available. Through the ON-LINE reverse osmosis, the ultrapure treated water that is produced, passes directly to the patient without being stored, that is without being stagnant.

The procedure of ON-LINE production of ultrapure water eliminates the risk of microbial infections that may develop in water production through classic osmosis, as may be the case with previous type reverse osmosis systems. After all, the unit holds all the certifications of ΤΕΜΑΚ following the respective sterile water cultures.

At the unit, our main concern is high quality dialysis and patient safety. Each patient has their own individual oxygen supply, which is regulated by a central supply system, as in large hospitals.

Patient entertainment is one of our priorities. The amenities are many, some of which are the individual TV set with stand-alone headphones from an individual entertainment console and high speed Internet. At the end of the session, a variety of snacks and juices is offered.

TRIGKAS NEPHROS has an ultramodern Ford Transit ambulance, which is one of the most spacious and safe vehicles for the transport of patients with all the necessary, as well as additional medical equipment, as well as an experienced staff with a paramedic.
