VASILIKOU SOFIA - MARIA

My name is VASILIKOU SOFIA - MARIA and I am a psychologist and psychotherapist with an office in the center of Thessaloniki.

I graduated from the Department of Psychology in the Faculty of Philosophy at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and completed two postgraduate courses in counseling psychology at universities in England (Manchester and Durham).

Later, I trained in Cognitive-Analytical Psychotherapy with the Panhellenic Cognitive-Analytical Psychotherapy Society and earned the title of Cognitive-Analytical Psychotherapist.

Finally, I also obtained a certificate in online counseling skills.

Since 2002, I have been working privately as a counseling psychologist and psychotherapist for adolescents and adults, and since 2003 I have, also, been working as a psychologist in the OAED unit, providing vocational training for intellectually disabled adolescents.

At the moment, I offer individual therapy to adolescents and adults in both Greek and English, either in my office or online (skype, chat).

I deal mainly with panic attacks, anxiety disorders, phobias, mourning, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, psychosomatic problems and the psychological impact of chronic illnesses.

I, also, deal with issues relating to communication and relationships, divorce, single parenting, sexual orientation, parent counseling and self-esteem and self-image.
