TAPSIS A. KONSTANTINOS

TAPSIS A KONSTANTINOS, orthopedist (orthopaedic specialist), was born in Thessaloniki and is a graduate of Aristotle University.

His medical as well as his specialty training, were initially done at the University of Thessaloniki and he continued his postgraduate studies in Europe. During his speciality course, he received a special training in surgical - robotic knee arthroplasty hip and shoulder arthroplasty, in fracture management and arthroscopic surgery. He also got a specialization in sports injuries, microsurgery and hand extremity surgery, plus pediatric orthopedics.

His specialization and main scientific interests include arthroscopic surgery, particularly shoulder and knee surgery, in addition to adult reconstructive surgery with particular focus on hip and knee.

He performs, where there is an indication of a benefit to the patient, minimally invasive surgery (MIS) and chooses for each patient the ideal prosthesis with the appropriate design and the best quality of materials.

In case of knee arthroplasties, he applies special preoperative planning, with the help of computed tomography, in order to use patient-specific instrumentation (PSI).

He has performed over 2,000 operations.

His scientific work includes published works, announcements, organization of conferences, whilst being a scientific associate at EUROMEDICA General Clinic.

The doctor is in charge of health - sports injuries of AS ARIS basketball academies.
